American IPA
Our India Pale Ale is a very malty and highly- hopped beer, the grandaddy of all pale ales. India Pale Ales were originally brewed in England for export to Brittish soldiers stationed in India at the end of the 18th century.

(Draught) Pours a clear orange body with a medium white head. Aroma of grass, herbs, and florals. Flavor of citrus, herbs, caramel, and grass with a watery mouthfeel.

On cask at the brewpub. The beer pours an orange color with a few white bubbles floating on top. The flavor is alright, with some orange citrus notes and not too much else. The flavor is not near as good as the aroma. I get some orange and grass notes, but there is also a lot of dirty and soapy notes. Low bitterness. Thin, watery mouthfeel and low carbonation.

SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 29, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Had both the regular version and a cask conditioned version. Cask was clear copper with a thin white head. Good floral aroma in the perfume-like, English style. Nice and hoppy. Watery thin body. Good gypsum. Regular tap has a harsher palate, but mild chocolate tones emerge to the flavor. Mild bittering hops.

travita (5008) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 18, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. The look is clear, copper colored, and has a light white head. the smell is hops, citrus, oranges, and peaches. The taste is citrus, light hops, and fruits. English style.

SudsMcDuff (8541) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAR 22, 2010
Pours out a dark caramel .. light foam .. roasted nut, light hemp, pancake, maple syrup, red pine, and teabags on the nose ... very smooth, hides the abv well .. definitely more English than American .. Is Edna Fogarty here?

Clear amber pour. Hoppy aroma. Weak taste of hops for the style. Decent finish. A smoother than your average IPA.

theisti (4238) - Kansas, USA - JUL 14, 2007
3 oz. sample from Dustin (server) at brewpub. Pour is a cloudy orange with a very small off white head. Aroma is all orange juice. Taste is a bright citrus hoppiness that fades nicely into a malt backbone. This was a good one.
