I was skeptical of trying this beer, because Blue Star also brews a pilsner but they tell visitors that this is their lightest beer. The aroma is sort of grassy with discernible hops. The malt flavors are surprisingly sophisticated and the beer is well balanced. By no means heavy or hoppy but it has substance. It is a good beer for refreshing oneself from the Texas heat.
