Listed elsewhere as an Irish Red, this was different than a typical amber, lots of roasted stout-like character. Very very light as it was a session ale. Enjoyable.

Tap. Pours clear Amber, large off white head, dissipate slowly, nice lacing. Aroma of dust, caramel, root beer. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, dusty. Light body. Odd.

So, it a session amber? Isnt that kind of redundant? I mean, I just usually assume an amber is a session ale, unless they call an "Imperial Amber" or something goofy like that. Anyway, this was a little malty, with hints of toast and chocolate, and and subtle, woody hops.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a reddish brown color with a giant thick tan head. The aroma is hops and malt. The taste is a heavy on grain and has a metallic aftertaste. If the metal taste was removed it would have a much higher score.

12 ounce can. Amber red in color. Lots of caramel notes. Ok overall, but nothing too amazing.

12 oz can pours a dark red color with a nice white head. Aromas of caramel, sweet malt, light good. Light bodied, nice offering ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at the brewery. Nice, cloudy ruby-brown color, with crap-tons of foam (but that was probably the idle tap line, not the beer). The nose is bready malts, black tea, and caramel. The flavor is malty, but relatively dry, with not much hop bitterness, and a touch of roastiness. Medium body, grainy, and thick. This is a nice, easy Irish ale. Great malt character, and a unique flavor.

On tap. Hoppy for style, like a red APA. Nearly as hoppy and bitter as an IPA. O too bitter for style, especially in the aftertaste.

Draft at the source. Beautiful golden amber color, thick tan head. Nice aroma of fruit and nuts. Taste is toasted fruity caramel. Nice.

Dark. My pour really cloudy. Pour before was clear. Nutty. Toasted nuts. Not a lot of hops. Could be a touch old.
