Bottle. Very dark amber color, tan head. Aroma of floral pine, caramel biscuit. And someone wrote "morning breath" in my notebook, but it’s not my handwriting, so I won’t count it in the score. Taste is very bitter caramel. mcberko (20482) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 29, 2017
On tap at Bluegrass, pours a hazy copper golden with a small beige head. Aroma brings out metallic notes, piney hops and somewhat stale biscuity malt. Flavour is a bit stale, with metallic notes, stale biscuity malt and old hops. This just isn’t good. djd07 (16513) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 1, 2016
On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear copper with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is floral and citrus. Medium body, pine, citrus, light bitter finish, good.

Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Amber color with a smallish off-white head. Nice aromas of roasted caramel and fruit. Medium body with light, creamy carbonation. Flavor is lightly roasted malt with some fruity bitter. It’s not a harsh bitter. With a little less ABV it might do as an ESB. Pretty good drink.

Tasted at the Barrelhouse Brewing Company Microbrew Fest on November 9. This APA was much better than I was expecting. A great example of a microbrew APA, this is exactly how I would make it! Thick head over a dark amber body. Nice bittering effect and good finish. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 1, 2002
Deep amber body, nice head. Pine-grapefruit aroma. Strong bitter body with strong pine aftertaste. Serious beer, not for the faint of heart.
