Tap. Had this at the Jack Daniels Pub at Oprylands Hotel. Not sure if this is it. It wasn’t on the menu and the the waitress said it was a "bourbon barrel ale". Wonderful color. Deep amber. Small head not much lace. Notes of vanilla in both taste and aroma. Notes of the oaky bourbon. Nice! thedm (6319) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUL 10, 2010
This bottled brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a . The aroma was dark malt and bourbon. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of bourbon and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again. anders37 (28157) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 10, 2010

Growler; thanks Tom!! Clear light brown with faint tan head; apples, bourbon, candy malts; quite strong and sweet; light texture and thin with vanilla, dry candy; a little rye spice, oak, dark fruits but lots of candy; thin and almost syrupy Rynoplasty (700) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 17, 2010
Pours hazy dark brown with a lightly tan head. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, with a little oak and roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malts, vanilla, oak, and a lot of bourbon. Not bad, but once again I think they let the bourbon overpower this one a little bit.

Draft. Pours a cloudy dark brown color with a half-inch thick beige head. Gentle bourbon aroma, with notes of vanilla, chocolate, oak, raisins, cherries, and caramel malts. Flavor of vanilla, chocolate and caramel malts, bourbon, raisins, oak, and toast. My only gripe with the beer is the palate itself, which was pretty thin for a barrel-aged beer and for the style. I’d still call the body light-medium, with moderate carbonation and a buttery smooth, albeit somewhat watery, mouthfeel. Really solid beer overall, and I trust a Kentucky brewer to do bourbon barrel aging well. DalzAle (2040) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - FEB 7, 2010
Growler thanks to phaleslu! Dark brown pour, medium carbonation and smelled like milk chocolate and bourbon on the nose. Flavor was excellent, chocolate malt, vanilla, cream and a very pleasant mellow bourbon flavor all the way through. Well balanced and solid beer, go out of your way to get some if you can! bvc (1244) - Washington, USA - OCT 17, 2009
Growler shared by after4ever. Dark brown with little head. Cola and dark skinned fruit on the nose. Hints of a barrel, but doesn’t overpower...good sign. Molasses, some cherry, malty bread, and some leather. A little thin in the body but enjoyable stuff. Thanks Tom. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - OCT 17, 2009
growler. thank you so much sean! pours murky dark brown with garnet highlights. loose tan head. big sweet oak and boubon nose...vanilla and wood. creamy medium body, some carb still showing. nice. roasty toasty malts on the mid palate, along with a little campfire and tons of bourbon and oak. gets a little heavy handed with the bourbon as it warms, but still super tasty. Draft at St. Matthews brewpub.
Poured clear dark brown color with an average off-white fizzy head that lasted with good lacing. Medium toasted malt and woody bourbon aroma. Medium to full body with a smoth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted malt and bourbon with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration.
This is a standout beer.
