Bottle. Pours black with a quickly dissipating tan head. Aroma is sweet bourbon, vanilla, oak and light coffee. Body is a bit thin and watery for a stout. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, and some subtle bourbon notes, oak and maybe even some light chocolate sneak in there also. Overall it just didn’t come together and was too watery. patrickfannon (1242) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 18, 2010
Bottle. 12 oz. Split with and courtesy of James. Pours a dense, deep opaque brown with a nice, fluffy, tan head and nice lacing throughout. Aroma of bourbon, oakiness, vanilla, chocolate, and roasty malts. Full bodied with a thin, light palate. Interesting combonation. Heavy yet smooth. Nice warmth in the finish. Good stout. jredmond (8964) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 14, 2010

Nose is greT, much like Kentucky breakfast stout, taste is good hints of barrel character, smoky, rich, toasty, small hint of bourbon. Quit nice. Snojerk321 (2984) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 30, 2010
12oz’er. Pours a deep coffee brown with a 2 finger thick beige head. Nose is cocoa dust, faint coffee, not much barrel or bourbon. Flavor is Roasty and a little watery was that actually aged in a barrel?

12 ounce bottle. Dark but clear brownish maroon color, small tan head that settles to an edge, solid lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, bitter cocoa, vanilla, earth. Taste is slightly sweet, dilute roasted coffee. Slight alcohol in the finish. Medium body. Nice enough.
