On tap. Love this beer! Dark coffee color with a rich smoky aroma. Very full flavor with elements of the bourbon, coffee, chocolate, malt. Maybe a bit sweeter than it could be but definitely a great beer. dwyerpg (6187) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Looks great. Opaque. Not a ton in the aroma, but this is great immediately. Chewy bit some hops and definite stickiness. Yet a nice slightly chocolate flavor. Really quite tasty. A bit thin in the finish but excellent nonetheless. One of the best beers of my trip. Great with the dessert we had. darthBeer (8) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 1, 2011 does not count
Bottle. Pour comes in the ink brown/black with some frothy off white head that fades quickly. Nose is an unreal aroma of bittersweet chocolate cake. Flavors are the same bittersweet chocolate, but in a balanced manner with some deeply roasted hop and cream finish. Given that description, the beer is surprisingly light. Very sweet, but loved it. albertfan5 (9) - Alabama, USA - AUG 4, 2011 does not count
Hint of bourbon goes down smooth. Great aroma full bodied thick beer. Very good beer. ogiergrove (120) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - FEB 25, 2011
Understated bourbon character on the tongue, slightly more pronounced on the nose. Nice obsidion color

Nice. Black pour with mocha head. Smells of chocolate, coffee and a little bourbon. Tastes the same. Chocolate flavor if a bitter chocolate. Erikh04 (153) - - SEP 2, 2013
Pours black. Very little head. Good balance of bourbon flavor. Very smooth.

Pours jet black with minimal head. Definite smell of bourbon. Chocolate and toffee with hint of bourbon on the taste. Overall, a very good stout jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 7, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 7, 2012 Black with fair (but barrel-aged) brown head / Rich nose of chocolate, bourbon, coconut, and roast coffee /Full body, inky and sweet, fat with low carbonation, malty with modest hopping / Sweet, intense flavors of semisweet chocolate, dark roast coffee, coconut, bourbon, and caramel / Would prefer more hopping, this being a sweet stout, but I nitpick. (Odd, this bottle quite good but previous tasting from a mail order bottle was very thin and rated only 3.1.) Itzjerm (2869) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - APR 16, 2012
Aroma... a perfect bourbon. Apperance... horrible thin head. Taste nice sweet bourbon... best out there. however first sip after another beer seemed a bit week and watery. Easy on palate and very enjoyable. Nice beer. I liked it the first time... good still.
