tap.dark copper pour. reminded me a bit of anchor osa, spiced nose, a bit too much lavender like taste to it. biscuity and chalky. does not sit well with me. seemed a bit hollow. it was hard for me to put words to this. because it is not a bad beer, i just do not like it. my cousin loved it though. Pours reddish brown with a mostly receding light tan head. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon and Christmas spices. Taste of gingerbread, cinnamon, spiced bread, caramel, and sweet syrup. Mouthfeel is full bodied and slightly sticky with soft to moderate carbonation. Very nice spiced aled. ContemplateBeer (2097) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - DEC 20, 2011
Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon; an overall eggnog feeling. Appearance is dark red/brown with tan head. Flavor matches the nose, but with an emphasis on nutmeg. Palate is bubbly. Another solid BBC brew, but not top notch. wheninhell (488) - chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 13, 2007
clear amber with a disappearing white head. aroma green apple cinnamon and nutmeg. flavor tart green apple cinnamon nutmeg and ginger. medium bodied. lively carbonation. tart medium dry finish. spicy nutmeg ginger and light cinnamon. average spiced ale but it really hits the spot after some christmas shopping. madsenbryg (371) - Holstebro, DENMARK - OCT 16, 2011

750ml btl numbered 1/77 brewmaster. Pours a rusty copper with an almost non-existent head. Super spiced aroma of ginger, cinnamon and other seasonal spices. Medium bodied mouthfeel not much carbonation. Nice caramel malt base, lots of that same xmas spice, raisins. A hint of alcohol, pleasantly warming. I wish it had a bit more body and a little more carbonation, but an enjoyed seasonal on a snowy night.
