Draft pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of malts, yeast and grass. Taste is malts, bananas and grain.

Pours hazy golden with a thin fully receding white head. phenolic, papery, chalky spicy. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation.

Bottle. Cloudy, gold color. Nice big head, breaks down kind of strange. Taste is like most hefeweizen beers. Has that fruity, clove clove taste and aroma.

12 oz. Opaque, orange-pear color with a creamy lasting head. Mild nose is wheat, lemony-spicy yeast, and a hint of banana and clove. Taste is the same pleasant mix, but has an occasional glance of too much bitter wheat and metallic citrus. Light-medium body is one of the creamiest I’ve ever had. Very smooth, but still has a refreshing tongue tingle and is well-balanced. Pretty good American take on the style; definitely has the Bavarian yeast strain. I suspect the low ratings are from those who don’t swirl :)

Patrickctenchi (6590) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - OCT 7, 2012
Hazy, lemon gold with a tall, white head. Scent is lemony, wheat, malt. Taste is clove and wheat. Light stuff...banana aspect is minimal. Decent, just rather average.

queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - SEP 10, 2012
Bottle. Sweet banana, clove, and creamy wheat aroma. Golden with a moderate white head. Sweet banana, wheat, and clove flavor. Light body, soft carbonation.

NeoHippie2 (1074) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - AUG 26, 2012
Probably the weakest hefe I’ve ever had. Pours a hazy golden straw hue nose is faintly of yeast and some banana. Taste is almost watery and very one-dimensional. Boring. Maybe I got a bad batch? I hope so anyway. BBC you can do so much better than this!

shrubber85 (11408) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 19, 2012
Bottle. Lactic lemon, banana, clove and wheat malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet banana. light clove, and light wheat malt flavor. Body a bit light. Overall a solid hefeweizen if a bit on the light side.

Suttree (6392) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Cloudy yellow brown, big head. Smells kind of corny, which is odd for a hefe. Flavor is more wheaty than the aroma inidcates, with a good deal of banana and bubble gum. Hoppy, crisp bite.

Jabic (589) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - AUG 11, 2012
Ar: Lemon peel and some banana, a hint of clove and moss. Ap: Cloudy light-gold, small white head with poor retention and a very slight bit of lacing. T: Banana and peach up front, medium-low sweetness - very low bitterness - finishes with a banana and very slight citrus finish. P: Medium body, a touch watery on the finish - medium carbonation, soft and creamy - finish is medium-dry. O: Easy-drinking hefe - flavors are all there, quite tasty - a bit more intensity of flavor a firmer mouthfeel would be an improvement.
