COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer formerly known as Ultra, our double IPA. A nice malt backbone and warming alcohol, take a supporting role to the massive hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. Distinctly American, with Cascade, Simcoe and Columbus hops, 6 different additions during the boil and then the hot wort is strained through 15# of fresh whole hops. If you like hoppy beers give it a try, if you don’t you can probably use it to degrease your engine.

Draft at Bluegrass. Murky copper with a creamy off white head. Aroma of toffee, fruity esters, citrus and floral hops. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, fruity yeast esters and a medium hop bitterness, some alcohol heat too. Medium body with a syrupy mouth feel. Not bad but really sweet for me, my wife loved it.

Great after taste, refreshing, lighter than most ipas. Nice and fresh on draft. Perfect for a summer night.

Pours clear, dark Amber with a fairly thick buff head. Hoppy aroma is subtle and has a citrus undertone. Flavor is strongly hoppy and evergreen wood, somewhat bitter, with a spur citrus undertone.firm texture has a strong fizz, and leaves a very hoppy finish. Get wrecked - and please call a taxi.

Aroma: Malty. Caramel and a bit of butterscotch. Fairly fruity in the nose as well; hops are more muted, but have a little citrus character. Appearance: Hazy dark copper pour with a foamy bone head that settles into a skin. Flavor: Pretty much matches the nose; malty and fairly fruity with not much hop character, besides some light bitterness toward the finish. Would make for a nice barley wine. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, very soft carbonation, slightly bitter finish. Overall: Nothing to write home about these days.

Half pint at 3rd street location. Nose is pine, resin and caramel. Sip intensifies nose. Fairly bitter. Decent. Medium to watery body.

Draft pour at the source. Clear copper with a white head of foam. The aroma is pine and herbs. Taste is chemically and astringently bitter. Not able to take more than a few sips.

2/28/14. On tap at the brewpub. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Butter all over this one. Ugh. Butter on the aroma, creamy, some hops popping through, but mostly tons of caramel maltiness. Butter on the flavor, hop bitterness but not much character, tons of maltiness and caramel. Bleeegh.

Pale color, strong taste, and hoppy. At >10% ABV, substantial without being overpowering. Light on color, heavy on taste!

750 ml bottle from notes. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor had orange citrus and resiny hops with an abundance of malts. Caramel, bread, toast with mild bitterness to the finish. It wasn’t bad, but I like to get more hops and bitterness from a DIPA.

No date on the bottle, so I can only assume that this is a brand new, fresh batch and it will be rated as such. Orange pour with a white head. The aroma is very malt with some toffee, caramel and orange citrus notes. The flavor is similar with the addition of some pine. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
