Bottle. Poured a clear brown color with a small light-brown head. Slight lacing. Malty aroma. Slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Flavor is very nutty with a malty coffee aftertaste. A good beer. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - JUN 17, 2007
This brown ale pours a deep brown color form a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized tan foamy head. Aroma is nutty, chocolate malts, caramel and sweet. A medium bodied brown ale. Malts are caramel, nutty, chocolate and sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Lively carbonation. Kind of semi sweet with a dry finish. Nice brown ale, not boring at all. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. slang (654) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - JUN 8, 2007
Good looking clear brown ale w/ nice tan head. Sweet, smooth, malty mouth feel makes for an easy drink. Very slight alcohol burn (or maybe thats just me?). Well balanced brown. jeremytoni (3058) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - JUN 5, 2007
From the bottle pours a nice dark brown with very little head that leaves no lacing. A nice malty taste with a lasting aftertaste. AceOfHearts (1374) - Mountain View, California, USA - JUN 4, 2007
On tap at the Cincy/N-Ky. airport. Mahogany; nice color with a somewhat uninspired head. Pretty decent aroma of caramel, milk, and sweetness followed by more roasty qualities. Coffee tones are prominent in the flavor; it was halfway between a sweetish porter and a more common nut brown, but this defied expectations for airport beer. "Sweet malts" are the keyword for the palate here. I should also note that this was the only beer I had in the past ~1 month apart from a night at NxNW in Austin, so I might be overrating a litte.

Light brown-copper pour with a thin but lasting tan head. Aroma is nutty with a bit of coffee. Low medium-bodied. Tasting reveals roasted malts, nuts, coffee and a bit of chocolate towards the finish. Long bitter finish. I liked this one. Perhaps a bit more body and it would be higher, but the flavors are all there. T2Tool (352) - Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA - MAY 21, 2007
One of my favorite Nut Browns. Pours brown in color with a tint of red. Has a nice tan head. Has a nutty, roasted smell and also can detect seom caramel malts. In tasting, also felt a faint taste of chocolate to go with the nut and caramel. crazyvin (2026) - New York, USA - MAY 19, 2007
I’m really not a fan of this style, poured a medium brown color with a thin white head which quickly faded away. Aroma was a mix of caramel and nuts. Flavor seemed one-demntional, an almost walnut flavor, with some barley noticable caramel notes. Hops were very mild. keepersj12 (3117) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - MAY 7, 2007
Roasted malt aroma with a hint of coffee. A slight sour taste. No head to speak of. Dark brown cloudy appearance. About an average brown. mrjames (21) - Clinton Twp, Michigan, USA - MAY 1, 2007
12oz bottle. I like Nut Brown ales so I enjoyed this beer but I was disappointed. It was a little thin in color and in flavor/palate. There was not enough malt sweetness/nuttiness.
