COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BBC Nut Brown Ale has a diverse grain bill which lends this traditional English ale a variety of flavors that coalesce into a remarkably smooth and pleasant drink. Additions of various pale, caramel and dark malts create a smooth, sweet malt profile with hints of roasted nuttiness. Multiple additions of English hops round out the flavors and give this classic beer a true flavor of the Old World.

CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - DEC 1, 2005
On tap at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport: Pours a transparent dark copper mahogany with a thin coating of light tan head. Dry subtle malty and nutty aroma has some toasty grainy notes. Body starts with a mild dry caramel malty sweetness, thinning some before a bittersweet, lightly tart, lingering nutty finish. A decent brown ale.

kramer (6570) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2006
12 oz bottle, via Kevin. Pours a clear dark amber under a one finger light brown foamy head that faded to a thin film. Aroma is very nutty with a light hoppiness. A little chocolate malt as well. The flavor is a little grainy but quite nutty and full flavored. The finish is lightly bitter with some chocolate. Mouthfeel is thinnish with fizzy forced carbonation. Texture is trying to be creamy but the carbonation interferes. Overall, this was maybe a little better than average for a Brown Ale, but still nothing exciting.
