COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BBC Nut Brown Ale has a diverse grain bill which lends this traditional English ale a variety of flavors that coalesce into a remarkably smooth and pleasant drink. Additions of various pale, caramel and dark malts create a smooth, sweet malt profile with hints of roasted nuttiness. Multiple additions of English hops round out the flavors and give this classic beer a true flavor of the Old World.

12 oz bottle, via Kevin. Pours a clear dark amber under a one finger light brown foamy head that faded to a thin film. Aroma is very nutty with a light hoppiness. A little chocolate malt as well. The flavor is a little grainy but quite nutty and full flavored. The finish is lightly bitter with some chocolate. Mouthfeel is thinnish with fizzy forced carbonation. Texture is trying to be creamy but the carbonation interferes. Overall, this was maybe a little better than average for a Brown Ale, but still nothing exciting.

Dark brown, decent tan head. Roasted nut aroma. Taste is rich....malt, roasted nuts, chocolate... Slightly, lightly porter-ish.....very easy drinking. Not outstanding, but a good, solid beer.

Reddish brown color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, some pine, and floral hops. Taste of caramel malts, some roast, nuts, and toast.

Pours clear brown with a soapy tan head. The aroma is malty with some cocoa, toasted malt, hints of coffe and some nuttiness. Medium / light body with a good amount of semi-sharp carbonation. The taste starts sweet and malty with light mollases, underlying butterscotch and bits of honey. The finish has a bit of spice and lingering sweetness. Not bad, just pretty darn plain.

My first ever live rating! Brown, decent beige head. Really nice aroma - roasted walnut, tobacco, some caramel, too. Clean and crisp. Notes of toast and caramel, dry finish. Tasty for the style.

Pours brown with a thin off white head. Smells nutty and earthy. Tastes watery and earthy with some sweetness on the finish.

Tinny aroma with light chocolate notes. Clear brown with a gigantic peach colored head. Tinny almond flavor with sweet hints of marzipan, but a little dirty. Pecan finish. Alcohol is a little insistent at times.

Brown pour with hints of red off white head and lace. Toasted malt aroma. Semi sweet roated malt flavor. Good carbonation and mouthfeel. Very solid brown ale.

12oz bottle. Toffee brown orange color. Mild roasty aroma. Lots of dark malt flavor, very rich, borderline Porter territory. Some nuttiness does come through. MIld stuff, a lighter side of a full bodied brown. Very well done. The best Brown Ale from Kentucky that I’ve ever had.

Bottle. Brown pour with a small tan head. Fades very quickly. Nose is nutty and toasty with some cocoa notes and caramel. taste is spicy hops, nutty flavors, maybe chocolate covered nuts, cocoa and caramel. Perhaps some Bit O Honey, but it’s very faint. Body is creamy with moderate carbonation. Some toasty malts and nuts in the finish. Spicy hops come through here too with a touch of earthiness. Light caramel, bit of toffee and cocoa. Nice brown ale given that I don’t care for the style very much!
