This was my second beer and a much more interesting one than the uninspired wheat. Being a change of pace I give it some more slack. This is an experiment that mostly works - when was the last time you had a potato based beer?
Aroma / Appearance - Ruby red with an ivory head the result is a beer that shimmers with a deep base. Mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, and vegetatal undertones spice up the experience to keep it from being another run of the mill take on a spring seasonal.
Flavor / Palate - The gentle mouthfeel soothes as it carries sweet potatoes towards the back of the throat. Brown sugar and almonds continue until the finish of powdered sugar. It does not change all that much over time - what you get in the first sip is similar to the experiences of the final sip.
