Hazy yellow with white head. Smells of grapefruit and spice and it has the feel of champagne. Tastes of bitter hops and citrus. Not my favorite beer. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 10, 2012
12oz bottle thanks to Auroracrisis. The first thing I noticed about this beer is that it was amber when I was expecting it to be yellow since it is a saison. The smell was heavy clove and was just not what I’d expect for a saison. The taste was more in line with my expectations, dry and spicy, not bad. Overall I would not consider this a good example of the style but I compare every saison to Dupont.

On draught at the brewpub. Pours darker than expected, more amber. Nose and taste show an odd mix of spices, yeast notes, and too much malt. Not so good. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle. Fruity citrus and an herbal spice aroma that made me think of mustard. Slightly hazy amber with a small ivory head. Citrus, malt, strong bitter herbal/spice, light musty yeasty flavor. Light body. jcr (2784) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - SEP 8, 2012
Bottle. Hazy amber body. Huge, pillowy off-white head. Aroma of clove, grain with a hint of plastic and Band Aid. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Taste of caramel with notes of spice and husky grain. Bitterness lingers. Flavors are muddled, masked by dusty grain. Overly carbonated. More like an amber ale brewed with Belgian yeast.

Draft in a plastic cup at BBC. Soapy herbal tones. Medium bodied, toasty malt tones. Not perfect, but true to style. Medicinal, lemon grass action. Drinkable, medium bodied, not mindblowing, but fresh and clean. jandd1983 (4680) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - AUG 17, 2012
It poured a hazy yellow color with an average white head. The aroma was yeasty citrus and spice. It had a medium body with soft carbonation and a sticky texture. The taste was sweet with a nice finish of moderate duration. rangerred (989) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - AUG 15, 2012
12oz bottle into a tulip.
Pours a hazy dark orange with some yeast particles. Humongous white head that takes forever to die down. Tons of carbonation in this.
Smell is quite fruity with lemon and orange. Maybe a tiny bit of funk but it is barely detectable.
Flavor is very citric and spicy with orange, lemon, coriander and clove, a very tiny bit of tartness. A moderate amount of sweetness before a chalky dryness swoops in and cleans everything up. Finish pretty crisp with some residual sweetness.
Overall, an ok saison but nowhere near its Belgian counterparts. Nice to see a US brewery try the style, though, and it is a decent attempt. hoffrobert (178) - Indiana, USA - JUL 21, 2012
On tap pours opaque brownish orange in color. Taste and aroma of dried fruits and spices. Ends with a bit of citrus flavor. Kind of tangy maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Pours a fairly dark brown with a modest head. Sweet smell and floral smell. Slightly sweet and roasted flavor profile, with a somewhat soapy finish to it.
