On tap 4 oz. pour at Meridian Pint in Columbia Heights, Washington, DC.
Clear, straw-yellow with small off-white head and excellent lacing.
Aroma if bread, roasted malt, biscuit malt, lemon, horse blanket and light smoke.
Taste of bread, spice, wet straw and light smoke.
Medium/light body and medium carbonation.
A fine mildly smoked beer. Not robust enough to hold its own against a burger and catsup, but fine on its own.

Tap. Light clearish orange yellow with a white head. Some citrus, fatty smoked meat that’s fairly light, some grains in the aroma as well. Not overwhelmingly smoky, some burnt toast, and a slight sweetness. Lighter body. Strange brew. climberbob (497) - Virginia, USA - OCT 10, 2012
Draft. Golden yellow, nice subtle smokey aroma. Taste is almost like a smoked heffeweizen. I am not a hop fan and did not think it was particularly hoppy. Nice beer, but not what I was expecting when I ordered it. blipp (9784) - La Mesa, California, USA - OCT 6, 2012
Draft. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Light smoky malts up front, followed by some weird herbal and lemony notes, a light sweetness, and a very wheaty finish. An odd one, comes close to being really good, but not quite. RoyalFlushing (326) - Mamaroneck, New York, USA - SEP 28, 2012
On tap @ brewery. Poured a cloudy golden with a small tan head and minimal lacing. Aroma of smoke, floral notes, and citrus zest. Taste is wheat, citrus, and smoke. Very drinkable, but limited complexity.

Sampled at DC Brau. Pours a hazy, straw color with some thin white head. Nose is mild, lightly smokey, a little malty, dried leaves, a little dried orange peel. Flavor is vitamin C tablets, buttered biscuit, buttered popcorn jelly beans, light creamed corn, some mild smoke. Wasn’t impressed. jcos (1855) - Maryland, USA - SEP 10, 2012

Appearance: Pours a yellow cloud.
Aroma: Aroma is of faint smoke, wheat malt.
Taste: Wheat, faint citrus, hint of smoke.
Palate:Medium light body.
Summary: I see from the description that this is a style that hasn’t been made in awhile. It’s an interesting combination, and it’s solid but not amazing.

Small head. Thin yellow haze. Smokey citrus aromas. Dry
Watery taste. Short finish. Very delicious.
interesting brew, loads of smoke and a tad sour. Blends well, huge palate considering how low this is. Very impressing bytemesis (9326) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - SEP 5, 2012
