(Draught) Pours a cloudy maize body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of grass, weed, earth, and stone fruit. Flavor of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, orange, lychee, pine, and grass with a dry, bitter finish. Ed5388 (3448) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - OCT 17, 2016
750ml bottle picked up at the brewery thanks to Dan. Pours a hazy burnt orange color with a thick 3-4 fingers of white head with every pour. Aroma of armpits, dank citrus, rotted peaches, grass, and lots of sweet caramel malt, and some herbal notes on the backend as it warms up. Taste mimics the nose. This is a very sweet beer. The sweetness is masking a lot of the bitterness. Carbonation is very sharp as well. Would score this higher if it the sweetness wasn’t so pronounced. Overall decent beer though. a citra bomb of an ipa, bright and vibrant throughout, especially in the nose. Simple, but dialed in and fantastic! deyholla (11505) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 18, 2016
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy citrus with a bit of sweet grains and light grass. Flavor has dank and earthy citrus with a light grain backbone. Bacterial (2986) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - MAR 3, 2016
On cask at Bluejacket. Also sampled a draft version. Cask is a copper color, slightly hazy, a slight head. Low carbonation, more earthy and floral in the nose vs. bright and citrus on draft. The malt really stands out on cask vs. the draft, which showcases the citra more robustly (maybe simply because it was kept cold?). Interesting side-by-side. Really nice beer. Prefer the draft.
