mosaic, mandarina bavaria & amarillo hopping dominate this american ipa, with ample amounts of each added in kettle & whirlpool +dry-hopped at the rate of 1.5 pounds per barrel. expect a bright array of citrus—tangerine, grapefruit & orange—punctuated by dank, earthy herbal notes, all in the name of a juicy hop attack.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Soft and lightly buttery on the nose, musk and a bit of melon with some dusty citrus behind it. Medium bodied, soft and musky, a bit of citrus and more softly buttery notes. Mango and tropical fruit into the finish with some alcohol on the back end and a dull bitterness.

Very nicely done beer. Tangerine and some light oak and earthiness. Pours orange with great head and lacing. Bitter finish. Great initial aroma. Tap at brewpub.

Gluepot (716) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 29, 2016
Another juicy, well crafted IPA from Bluejacket, this one with a little extra rind in the typically fresh hop profile. Quaffed on site at the Bluejacket. A deep orange/gold body with a well laced soft white head. The nose pops with juicy grapefruit and orange. A very fresh, juicy grapefruit hoppiness leads the taste profile. Dank earthy hops, orange rind, melon and kiwi, along with sweet bready malt, add to the experience. And edge on the hops keeps rising as the beer moves towards room temperature. Another prize

had both the regular cask version and a pacific jade dry hopped cask...both were very very solid. Herbal and citric, both, with light to moderate bitterness. The jade cask had a little more passion and tropical fruits but was not better or worse.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has earthy citrus and grass with a hint of onion and a light grain backbone. Flavor has more grass with some bitter pine, grapefruit and a hint of onion underlying.

Where: On tap, at Bluejacket in Navy Yard, DC. How: On tap, cask pour, 4 oz taster. Appearance: golden amber with thick haze and white head. Aroma: fruity with citrus and juicy aroma from the hops. Taste: tangy fruity and juicy with mostly citrus in the taste with lightly herbal flavor. Palate: Thin to medium feel. Overall: Very typical for a IPA, but thats not a bad thing at all.
