COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Master brewed with Tasmania’s finest ingredients combined with Boag’s 1881 yeast to produce a full-flavoured traditional beer. The special combination of malts and hops delivers a full bodied beer with a finely balanced hop bitterness. Boag’s Original is a fine example of a beer brewed using German Brewing techniques.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2004 Well i am going to stick up for this beer. I really really like it. This beer is aggressive and has a nice level of bitterness with a bit of an aley character. Much more complex than strongarm and blows classic right out of its own water. Easily Boags best.

Pretty good. Fairly smooth taste. Pretty fast drinker. Viscous style, not like the English Pale Ale. Pretty good. Gotta be more Aussies out there who have drunk this, especially pro's like Duff. It's well worth it.

An all round inoffensive blandish beer. Doesn’t suffer form the chemical nastiness of most standard Aust lagers. Probbaly a good reguler quaffer.

Bright clear gold colour with a medium-size fully lasting head. Hoppy aroma with a smooth flavour that is nothing too exciting but easily quaffable.

More bitter than the Classic but I can't imagine anyone really enjoying this.

Not bad attempt at a bitter, a little sweet and very quick finish leaving you wanting more. OKish

VertBaconStrips (2428) - Blerkablerka, VENEZUELA - MAY 30, 2009
Plain old gold beer with an average white head that stuck to my glass quite well. Got a good whiff of tasty fresh citrusy hops and the smallest hint of malt. The hops dominate what exists for flavour. Those same hops crinkled my tongue and left a nice bitter finish. Drank in under 5 minuites - sucker went down with amazing ease.

Reasonably smooth, flavoursome beer at the budget end of the market.........

Nice gold colour with good head retention and lacing. Very clean aroma, pretty much nothing going on, which is an advantage over most of its contemporaries. Flavour of crystal malt, pretty light on otherwise and not as bitter as I recall. Quite drinkable and without any real flaws but doesn’t really have anything all that great about it either really.
