3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From notes. Had this on tap at the 2016 MGB Summer Beer Fest. The pour is a darker brown with a thin tan collar of head that lingers surprisingly long. The aroma is surprisingly dried peanut butter dominated. Itís not overly heavy, but itís decent. There is a dry, powdered cocoa in there and a roasted malt. Itís interesting. It doesnít really balance too well, but itís not bad. The flavor is much of the same. There is a sweet peanut butter powder and a nice chocolate. This is almost like the crushed powder left at Reeseís Puffs. The mouth feel is a little light and the carbonation is a hint thin, but itís a relatively good balance of peanut butter and chocolate on the aftertaste. This was a pleasant surprise.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap: Black center, with very deep brown trimming the edges; a silky, tan collar outlines the very top. Aroma has delicate peanut butter, sweet cream, bakerís chocolate, & just a hint of roast. Such a lovely peanut butter & chocolate combination... Sweet without being over the top. Smells like a liquid Reeseís cup smothered in extra nut butter. Taste has a nice, dry roasted peanut quality that transitions into a more sweet, chocolate laden mid-palate & back-end. Deliciously creamy, with more milk chocolate, sweet peanut butter, roasted nuts, & slight roast lingering into a perfectly synchronized finish. Awesome peanut butter beer.

Sample at 2013 MBG Winter Beer Festival. The only peanut butter beer I have ever tasted that is good and actually tastes just like creamy peanut butter. Really surprising.
