Syfher (418) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 29, 2017
Bottle of 33cl, in a Trappist glass; from the fridge. The usual strong blond beer, with usual aroma and taste. We’re in front of a cloudy blond beer, with strong aroma of malt/yeast and alcohol. The taste is strong, yeasty, but not the Abbey or Trappist one. Aftertaste is as the taste.

F: huge, white, long lasting. C: gold, light hazy. A: malty, honey, floral, apple, fruity, coriander, perfumed, yeasty. T: malty, honey, spicy, fruity, peach, hint of apple, yeasty, coriander, medium to full body, medium to high carbonation, typical Belgium BSA but not very interesting like many…many others here, 33cl bottle from Carrefour market – St. Michel @ Etterbeek, Brussels.

Golden big white head. Malt alcohol a bit of bitterness. Nothing to write home about.

Bouteille 33 cl.

33cl bb08/2018, untasty BH leftovers. - Caveat: did not realise and would never have guessed beforehand that this touristy abomination with a ludicrous label description for the city of Spa would have been contract brewed by Huyghe, kings of cheap sugars and coriander broth. - Bref: tastes like an even hastier concocted version of sugary Guillotine without the aroma hops. Heavy whiffs pregnant with sweet coriander broth and grape dextrines in aroma, slick and sticky in mouthfeel, esters turned to sugar candy in taste. Drainpour unnecessary.

blackisle (2584) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - APR 22, 2016
Bottle 33cl. Poured into a tulip glass. Clear medium golden, good two finger frothy white head, half-way lasting, heavy lacing; aroma pale malts, light banana, yeast, hint of citrus; taste medium to light heavy sweet, light bitter, malty, spicy notes, metallic, rather bland altogether especially in the middle part, abrupt sweetbitter finish, some cardboard; medium body, oily to creamy texture, average carbonation; non-distinct beer.blond
