500ml keg from Cerveceria Canarias, Barcelona (€4.60):
Quite a basic dark beer that wasn’t quite as strong or as pronounced as I’d been expected with the majority of the taste coming through the roasted malts & faint caramel that featured throughout. There was no sign of any bitterness or hops to the beer which sadly made it seem quite bland & basic but the light sweetness off the back of the caramel was at least somewhat enjoyable. It’s definitely not a beer to go hunting for but it’s always nice to check another beer off the 1001 list even if it’s not a great one.

peponi (1893) - Hannover, GERMANY - JUN 5, 2017
Aroma: caramel, corn, roasted dark malts. Appearance: brown color and creamy head. Taste: caramel, roasted dark malts, corn, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: This is how it is.

Oiolosse (143) - Granada, SPAIN - APR 30, 2017

Pours black as the night. Pretty bland, some roasted malt flavours with an underlying sweetness, but not a beer of distinction to remember.

Trolleo (1594) - Pula / Zagreb, CROATIA - APR 14, 2017
Dark roasted malt aroma, caramel, some corn and green apple, little bit of toast. Clear black body with small off-white head. Taste is sweet caramel with roasty notes, some green apple. Medium long semi-dry finish. Watery texture, soft carbonation. Passable.
