Solid tall boy of malty golden pub ale. Huge, creamy head with a soft pillowy texture. Goes well with a seat at the bar.

the aroma is fruity and floral with hints of candy, bisquit, grain and fresh apple... the taste is malty and fruity with notes of grain, lollipop. grasses, flowers and garden fruits... sweet, bitter and dry aftertaste...

Pours clear gold with a creamy foam head. Smell is honey and wet cardboard. The taste is honey and malt with a sweet, ever-so-slightly hoppy finish. It resembles a watery all-day swill, but the sweetness would render the task unpleasant.

Hadn't had this one in a long time, and was a bit disappointed. Smooth pub ale but little flavor.

Wow, how have I overlooked this gem over the past few decades. I thought there was only one miserable shell of a beer called Boddington's. They made an 'Export' version. Why?! Into its own nonic, chilled as recommended. Typical nitro-pour. Settles to a translucent orange gold. Head is off-white and the expected creamy silk. Honey, sweet, bready nose with a hint of buttery popcorn and pear drops. On the palate it is similar to the nose, like a honey and butter sandwich. Sharp metallic note in the back. Finish is cardboard and flabby. Thin and very watery. Sadly easy to quaff. Light bitterness of grass. Nothing else here. Forgettable, like its weaker brother. Hand pull dispensed to a Boddington logoed pint glass at a farewell gathering for John's Restaurant & Tavern in Winfield, IL., showing a lightly hazed, golden hue, with a billowing layer of persistent, creamy froth, and curtainy lacing. The nose was soft grain, dried pit fruit & skins, with a light hint of banana. Light to medium bodied, with low carbonation, the taste was less fruitiness, subtly toasted, some silkiness to the texture, with slight earthy bitterness, and a touch of finishing dryness. A presentable English Pale.

Can. Pours gold with a white head. Mild aroma - maybe some malts and grass? Taste is malt, bread, grass, cardboard. Metallic notes. Mild bitterness.

From Nov 2007 This pours from 1 pint can a dull, slightly hazy gold with a solid 2 finger head of foam with lots of lacing. It *is* a nitro can after all. ;^) The smell has a nose of bitter hops and a touch of honey sweetness. The taste matches the smell...good hop bitterness(no citrus really, just bitter) with some honey sweetness and some metallic taste. Silky smooth mouthfeel here and it finishes slightly bitter; the finish is actually the only part that I don't fancy too much but over all, this is a pretty good taster and so darn easy to drink. I don't know why I like Boddingtons, I just do and I buy it every so often.

On tap at my hotel in Exeter. Pours a hazy dark gold with plenty of creamy, white head. Nose has treacle, honey, malt. Butterscotch. Hmm. Flavor is remarkably drier, malt, toffee chew, honey, dough. Finishes lightly sweet and doughy.

Haven't had this in ages. Poured into a Guinness pint glass; gorgeous golden hue with a frothy pillow head. Ale smell with a hint of honey. Creamy and refreshing. A slight fruity finish. Cheers!
