Pours golden with a thick white head. Grassy aroma, with a similar flavor with some maltiness.

Hand pull dispensed to a Boddington logoed pint glass at a farewell gathering for John's Restaurant & Tavern in Winfield, IL., showing a lightly hazed, golden hue, with a billowing layer of persistent, creamy froth, and curtainy lacing. The nose was soft grain, dried pit fruit & skins, with a light hint of banana. Light to medium bodied, with low carbonation, the taste was less fruitiness, subtly toasted, some silkiness to the texture, with slight earthy bitterness, and a touch of finishing dryness. A presentable English Pale.

Can. Pours gold with a white head. Mild aroma - maybe some malts and grass? Taste is malt, bread, grass, cardboard. Metallic notes. Mild bitterness.

From Nov 2007

This pours from 1 pint can a dull, slightly hazy gold with a solid 2 finger head of foam with lots of lacing. It *is* a nitro can after all. ;^)

The smell has a nose of bitter hops and a touch of honey sweetness.

The taste matches the smell...good hop bitterness(no citrus really, just bitter) with some honey sweetness and some metallic taste. Silky smooth mouthfeel here and it finishes slightly bitter; the finish is actually the only part that I don't fancy too much but over all, this is a pretty good taster and so darn easy to drink. I don't know why I like Boddingtons, I just do and I buy it every so often.

On tap at my hotel in Exeter. Pours a hazy dark gold with plenty of creamy, white head. Nose has treacle, honey, malt. Butterscotch. Hmm. Flavor is remarkably drier, malt, toffee chew, honey, dough. Finishes lightly sweet and doughy.

Haven't had this in ages. Poured into a Guinness pint glass; gorgeous golden hue with a frothy pillow head. Ale smell with a hint of honey. Creamy and refreshing. A slight fruity finish. Cheers!

500ml can from Metro, Xiamen. I didn't realise widget beer still existed. Got this on a two for one near sell by date offer. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of malt with a little toffee and not much else. Widget is killing this. Pretty awful taste and bitter finish.

Can @home. Pours amber, good inch sized white head from the nitro widget. Nose is caramel, it smells sweet, more caramel, slight sweets. Taste is more caramel, it is sweet and thin.

Schnabelhund (108) - TAIWAN - AUG 19, 2017
Boddingtons Pub Ale pours an amber color with a long-lived white head with some lacing. The nose is grainy with some pleasant fruity esters with a hint of banana. The attack is as grainy as the nose, followed by a mild mid-palate with a hint of bubblegum and light citrus and moderate bitterness. The dry finish leads the palate back to the initial graininess. A decent brew.

sccp1910 (290) - BRAZIL - AUG 13, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 15, 2017 Uma pale ale suave e de baixo teor alclico. Cor mbar e espuma branca, bem cremosa e bom paladar.
