2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden with a dense, moderate head and a sweet, malty nose. Easy entry with a soft palate. Notes of honey with some metallic hints followed by a mild bitterness.
500ml can from Metro, Xiamen. I didn't realise widget beer still existed. Got this on a two for one near sell by date offer. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of malt with a little toffee and not much else. Widget is killing this. Pretty awful taste and bitter finish. Lonick (2509) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 6, 2017
Can @home. Pours amber, good inch sized white head from the nitro widget. Nose is caramel, it smells sweet, more caramel, slight sweets. Taste is more caramel, it is sweet and thin. Schnabelhund (108) - TAIWAN - AUG 19, 2017
Boddingtons Pub Ale pours an amber color with a long-lived white head with some lacing. The nose is grainy with some pleasant fruity esters with a hint of banana. The attack is as grainy as the nose, followed by a mild mid-palate with a hint of bubblegum and light citrus and moderate bitterness. The dry finish leads the palate back to the initial graininess. A decent brew. sccp1910 (277) - BRAZIL - AUG 13, 2017

Can. Pours a straw gold with brown tinge, and a solid head that disappears quickly. Malt flavours dominate. Medium body. Smooth texture. Moderate bitterness. Not much to describe here. A pretty average beer.

Can: Pasteurised. Nitro widget. Also sold as Boddington’s Gold and Boddington’s Export. Stronger version of Boddington’s Bitter. First brewed in 1994 at 4.8% Creamy head and a golden well balanced body. No carbonation, smooth drinking beer I would drink again.

Light malt aroma. Golden hay color, abundant fine white head. Light malt sugary, light bitterness. Low carbonation, thin body, a bit watery. ebone1988 (2018) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - JUN 30, 2017
Can from Merchants. Nitro. Aroma is bitter, fruity, floral, light. Appearance is amber leaning ghost, off white head, clear. Taste is very light at first, fruity, floral, then hitting you with bitterness all at once, earthy hops, dry. Mouthfeel is medium body, nitro creaminess, bitter light fruity aftertaste. Overall, certainly not the best bitter ever but the nitro part is charming, albeit reducing the end result of the beer. 5 4 5 4 13 jw0406 (1299) - atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 22, 2017
