Hazy pale yellow, thick white quick vanishing head. Acidic, sweet-ish nose. Sweet honey flavour with a little sourness. Yeasty finish.

This blonde ale poured with a short white head, eliciting a fruity aroma. The flavor is of honey and yeast and is slightly astringent.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2006 interesting apple and pear and yeast aroma. creamy and buttery, like a fluffy buttered roll half-soaked in white wine. dry honey and alcohol in the finish; overall decent, better than the 3.25 it currently scores here!

There’s lots of things floating around in this cloudy yellow ale. It has a winey, alcoholic aroma with yeast and fresh dough. Somewhat bitter in the mouth, it nonetheless has a sweet honey and tart orange flavor. Spicy, too. The finish is abrupt with a touch of bitterness and a heap of alcohol.

(Bottle) Pours a cludy maize body with white and black floaties and a moderate white head. Aroma of honey, citrus, and bread. Flavor of honey, spicy yeast, and banana. Creamy mouthfeel.

ottle. Cloudy yellow pour, very little head. Sour aroma. Thin to medium mouthfeel. Taste was both sour and sweet at the same time, if that is possible. It actually became refreshing. Weird, but damn interesting.

bottle. muddy grapefruit coloured body with a small white head. yeasty aroma, some fruit and malt. quite a bit of tartness in this belgian ale and I wonder if that was the intention. lemony dry finish.

Fairly sour aroma, olives too? Cloudy, make that muddy brown, tiny cream head, a lot of floaties. Flavour was somewhat sour, tart, dry, and acidic. Pretty good. I sure wish I could say who was nice enough to share this.

Hazy amber coloured with a white head. Aroma of fruits, spices and malts. Flavour of fruits and spices.

3.6
Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 16, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) Orangey golden, unclear with an extremely lively bubbly head. Sweet honeynotes making this very soft - pleasant rather than cloying. Has some of the rustic slightly musty notes you sometimes find in Belgian micros. Warming alcohol with a pronounced bitter finish. 191297
