33cl bottle. Hazy orange. Medium white head. Nose ; little tart and lambic like smell. Notes of nuts, citrus zest, some straw. wet laundry and soap. Sip ; good carbonation, medium density liquid with oily texture. Sweet with some tart flavors, strong fruity notes like peach, lemon. Straw flavors, delicate esters develops funky ending which is a bit like an old nut. Aftertaste is nutty as well. Overall this beer is a nice discovery but I might never come back to it again.

750 ml bottle into tulip, no bottle dating(but must be quite aged, I got it on clearance). Pours very cloudy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Some decent spotty lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of honey, apple, pear, apricot, earth, herbal, floral, bread, light pepper, and light yeast spices. Pretty nice and interesting aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of caramel, apple, pear, honey, bread, earth, herbal, pepper, and yeast spices. Lingering notes of caramel, honey, apple, pear, bread, herbal, pepper, floral, earth, and light yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Very nice malt sweetness to peppery flavor balance; with nice complexity and no cloying sweetness at all. A bit of an earthy tang on the finish as well, but not bad. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Belgian strong pale ale. Very nice flavor balance and complexity; very pleasant and smooth to sip on. Despite the questionable age, this was still quite enjoyable; and certainly worth the 5 dollars I paid for the bottle.
