Bottle from the source. Gusher!

Smells overcarbonated and mediocre. Boring, borderline-offensive malt presence, sweet, just bad. Seriously.

Alengrin (5629) - BELGIUM - AUG 21, 2014
Apparently made for the Heeren van Liedekercke but tasted at Zythos Bierfestival 2005. I must have received the bottom of the bottle, as it had an ochre-hued brown colour with full milky cloudiness, not very pleasant to look at; beige, thin head. Fruity, sweet aroma of pear, chocolade, ginger; fruity, sweet and very yeasty taste with a bit of toasted bitterness and spicy hops in the finish, ending dry. Should re-rate this from a fresh bottle some day.

Bottle @ De Heeren van Liedekercke. Vintage 2012. Hazy dark reddish brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and dark fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 120714

Aroma of caramel, spices, sweet. Taste is underwhelming, overbalanced on the alcohol. More of the same with some raisins. So-so beer.

Gedronken @ RBESG 13 Grand Tasting, onderste uit de fles, vieze bruine poepkleur, witte schuimkraag, ruikt en smaakt beetje hoppig, mout, beetje fruitig en zoet.
