Bottle @ home. Dark amber to brown colour with a skall off-white head. Smells sour, red fruits, wild yeast, floral. Probably infected. Tastes sweet, loads of herbs, slightly floral. Doesn’t taste sour. Medium body, soft carbo. Taste isn’t too bad. tderoeck (10002) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUL 7, 2015

Clear amber beer, creamy irregular beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, honey, sugary, bit soapy, floral, citronella. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish, spicy, citrus, floral, hoppy, bit herbal. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, lots of citronella, some caramel, hoppy, bit grassy, soapy touch. Weird, with all the citronella. I’m curious where that came from...

Better known nowadays as Santa Bee, another stereotypical Scotch-based Belgian Christmas ale, deep bronze with dense, off-white head; malty and estery aroma, honey, sweet spiciness, candied fruits; malty taste, fruity, candi sugar, caramelly, yeasty, sourish touch with a dryish finish with some warming alcohol and roasted coffee bitterishness, but solvents as well. Quite alright but there are better Belgians to choose from in this time of the year. Werckmeister (3285) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - DEC 22, 2014
