Bottle of Santa Bee. Poured deep ruby red, thick, bubbly tan head. Aroma of sweet candy and caramel malt, quite spicy and zesty. Medium body, lively flavour of yeasty cherry,

Bottle as Santa Bee: Tief dunkle Farbe, würziger Geruch. Sehr sehr tolles Winterbier! Nicht zu süß, malzig-würzig mit tollem Kräuterfinish!! Die 8,5% fallen nicht auf!! Sehr zu empfehlen!! --> A 14 / Sü 13 / Ng 15 / ges 14

Very sweet christmas beer. The usual thing for this style: lots of malt, spices and yeast.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are dried fruits, malt, caramel, candy sugar and hops.

Bottle @ home.

aroma: floraal, mout, zuur, metaal, zoet.
smaken: mout, floraal, metaal, zuur, gerstemoutm caramout, wijn.
licht/medium body, dun van textuur, normale co2.
indruk: vreemde smaakcombinatie, afdronk drook, matig bier.

Dark brown belgian. Citrus seems to make for beer that is a bit sweet and a bit too sour. Plenty of ’christmas spices’. OK as a winter beer, but definitely not top tier.

erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JAN 4, 2013
Dark ruby with small tan head. Dark malts, figs, strawberry jam and wintery hops. Taste is more complex with sweetness of lots of cherry. Caramel malts to add. Different approach than the dark brown, roasted and spiced Belgian winter beers, but very Christmas y still. Nice. (33cl bottle from De Bierwinkel Leiden)
