25 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium as #88 Santa bee. Pours hazy brown with a diminished off-white head. Caramel malt, spices and honey aroma. Flavour is sweet spiced with a little herbal edge. Lingers into the finish with a slight herbal note. Ends with a warming feel and some pleasant malt notes.

[Vintage 2003 - sampled December 2005] A deep red beer with lots of sediment floating around and with a nice thick light brown head. The aroma is sweet spicy and berry - I pick out cowberries and black currant as well as some wood and yeast, and hints of alcohol. The flavor is sweet but well balanced with a fruity acidity like red currants - a lovely mixture. The flavor also contains notes of wood and yeast, and the alcohol cannot be tasted, but hides in the background and gives You the warmth on a cold winters night.

omhper (25117) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - SEP 2, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2004 Bottled. Dark nut brown, hazy. Almond aroma. Sweet and soft, somewhat orangey. Fairly malty with some caramel. Warming, yet not alcoholic. Pleasant and flavourful. A good one.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 14, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) The type of beer that virtually "explodes" when the cap comes off. The foam floods out of the bottle and it just keeps on going. By the time, I locate a glass, only half of the original content is left. Aestetically, this scrapes the barrel: muddy grey-brown - pretty much the colour of Chinese river water. When it comes to the flavor it’s a bit like chocolate (milk), actually quite soft and malty with some bitterness. And a lot of sediment - like the bottom of the aforementioned Chinese river. At least a tea spoon full of it. 100104

Darkish brown beer. Mild carbonation. Light and sacharrin creamy start leading to coca cola and a hint of orange. Dry finish.

Travlr (24758) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 22, 2010
Draft at Churchkey, as Santa Bee. Dark reddish brown with tiny edge head. Aroma resembles a Rodenbach. Taste is like a dry hopped Rodenbach Alexander. Very nice stuff.

With honey
Dark amber color; magnificent giant, thick head. Malt and spices aroma; lightly fruity (yellow berries). Good malty body; caramel; a delicate touch of roasted malt, dry, reminding a Scottish Ale; candi sugar; final with some nuts. Thanks Jacob (Lövenlund) for this bottle.
