??/2014 - 33cl bottle from De Zytholoog/Bierloods (Adegem) @ home - BB: 31/XII/11 (2014-1574)

Clear dark blond to orange beer, big irregular aery white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit sweet, oxidized, orange peel, almonds, malty, caramel, some Madeira. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, caramel, lots of cough syrup, orange peel. Aftertaste: little bitter, some chocolate, caramel, bit oxidized, sugary touch. Decent stuff.

JorisPPattyn (10072) - BELGIUM - JUL 3, 2006
Hazy brown-chestnut beer; small brownish head. Nice nose, simple but effective combination of alcohol(s) and hops. Burnt & roasted malts, but leaving space for still quite some restsugars. There’s some bitterness, leafy and slightly hoppy, but not really distinctive. Medium to well-bodied, some alcoholwarming. Not bad. For Boelens’ recent prestations, breathtakingly good, and certainly infection-free.

33cl, from the brewery, complex brew, not balanced, cloudy, rocky head, nice brew

sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 3, 2009
(Bottled, a gusher) Hazy golden with floating yeast particles and a largeish, bubbly and lightly lacy, lasting head. Crisp aroma of pale malt, gingery spiciness, juniper berries, lime fruitiness. Flavor is spicy and crisp, with a touch of burning alcohol, but all the different flavors really show up nicely. Medium body with soft carbonation, fresh and easy to drink. Really a positive surprise: complex, crisp, easily drinkable and refreshing. Nice!

Taste bit sweet start, roasted malts, spice, some bitterness, hops, alcohol touch @ the end. Good. (close to Pa-gijs we thinck)
