UPDATED: APR 13, 2013
Hazy dark golden with small white head. Nose is spicy and yeasty which evokes sweet oranges. Taste is balanced between sweetness and bitterness.Body is medium, carbon lively. Palate brings hints of tropical fruits mixed with candy sugar. [email protected]
Bottle 33cl bought at De Hopduvel in Gent. Pours hazy light golden with a big creamy white head. Nose: sweet (honey), apple, caramel, floral, malt. Taste: medium carbonation. Starts sweet (honey and some apple) with floral notes combined. Followed by malty notes and a nice hoppy bitterness and citruszeste. The aftertaste is slightly bitterwith notes of citruszeste and the hop that lasts in my throath. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 22, 2016
Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruits, some glue, alcohol and mild wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, wooden, some floral notes as well as some caramel. A bit too alcoholic for it’s own best, but otherwise quite ok. DutchDrebus (6080) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - MAR 31, 2016
The triple you’ve had way too many times before. Clear golden with a huge white head,to the point of almost being a gusher. Smells like coriander and tastes pretty much like it too. Overly sweet, overly yeasty, overly herbal and too much carbo. Probably doesn’t do too much wrong if you’re into those kind of triples. Probably isn’t even a bad triple tbh. The herbs are just too much for me. mikske79 (1701) - Puerto Plata, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - FEB 10, 2016
Zeer lekker geurtje. Mooie blonde kleur.
Goed doordrinkbaar. Alweer prima biertje van Boelens.

33cl bottle at home (21 VIII 2015). Orange, dirt to brown coloured beer with thin, little white foam. The flavours have something very fresh, some oranges or lime and lemon. There should be some cinnamon in there too, but I could not pick that up. The taste has less pleasant dirt and dust aromas, yet they are rather mild (a good thing!). The malt and bitterness are lovely, there is a lingering sugarness-sourness too - but oh so subtle -, it has a fruity vibe too and the alcohol is warming. A decent, nice, modest brew. Commissioned brew since 2010 referring to an old legend centred around an inhabitant of the village of Hamme. Yellowish white, rocky, sticky head, deep peach blonde colour with somewhat brownish hue, cloudy and even more so after adding the deposit, which in this case consisted of an ominous dark ’stuff’ on the bottom of the bottle. Strong yeasty and estery aroma, banana, pear, canned apricot, bread dough, ginger, cider, grass. Soft mouthfeel, rounded, fruity and very estery-yeasty with citrus touch, mellow caramelly maltiness, relatively soft carbo in relation to the head formation, a bit earthy in the end with a leafy, briefly sharpish hop bitterness and a bourbon-like warming alcohol effect. I am getting used to Boelens producing ’soup’, in the sense that some of his beers are infected and clouded after even the most careful of pouring, but in this case that didn’t bother me, this is quite a tasteful ale. kermis (14273) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 11, 2014
Bottle shared. Pours very hazy dark golden with a bubbly off white head. Aroma of Brett, citrus, fruits and malt (infection? But not really in a bad way). Flavour is over moderate sweet and light moderate bitter and acidic. Medium bodied with light carbonation. deanso (10178) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - AUG 11, 2014
