cloudy dark brown, large smooth creamy light brown head.
aroma is faint roasted grains, dark fruits, licorice, flowery hops.
flavor is faint roasted grains, liocorice, spices. very fainly soruish (orange?)
palate is full and thick.
Quite special brew, i can’t really put it into any category easily. tastes nice.
It’s black with a red hue and a creamy, light brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and sweet vegetables, bee wax and dusty hay loft, there must be something wrong with this bottle. The flavour confirms this thought. It’s slightly sweet with notes of roasted malt, licorice, pumpkin, bee wax, hay and rubber, there is clearly something wrong with this bottle... [Sampled with the duo Svoger & Svogergylp at DØE, Valby, 2009.] As Bøgedal Nr. 0159. It seems that all my sundaynotes are of a higher value than all others. Why? I do not know, but I was very thirsty and two days of heavy tasting should maybe end up in another, but it didn’t. But Bøgedal is great and fantastic. Deep almost black with lightbrown head. Notes of roasted malt, chocolate all in an easy way, not like a stout, but more like an ESB. Good fat medium body and with lots of ingredients. Creamy and smoothy!

75 cL bottle, as Bøgedal Nr. 0159. Pours thick, pitch black and with a dense chocolate brown head. Dry and roasted malty aroma. Roasted malt flavoured and distinct liqourice note. Subdued sweetness that goes into a mild acidic roasted flavour and somewhat hoppy bitter too. Mild fruity note from the hops as well.
