0,75 l. corked bottle as Bøgedal # 0278, 6.9 % abv. Dark brown colour with deep red hues. Dense, tanned head that faded fast. Nice aroma of flower and citrus hops, also milk chocolate. Light sweet taste with bitter cocoa and coffee, also some fruity bitterness. Medium body with a slick texture. Long bitter, roasted finish. draft @ redlight redlight Chocolate and coffee aromas on the nose with hints of Brettanomyces. The beer pours a chocolate brown with a thin tan head. A dark reddish brown ale with a thin brown head. In aroma, nice sour cherries with dark fruits, light chocolate, nice and smooth. On tap at Churchkey. Pours a watery, cola colored deep brown with zero head. Nose is a touch smokey, wet malts, sweet. Tap. Pours lightly hazy brown with a small, fizzy light tan head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is earthy and herbal, lightly sour with bread and biscuit malt. Pours a dark chestnut brown color with a one finger off-white head that slowly settles into a thin ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Sweet, slightly funky, medicinal aroma with subtle barrel oak presence. Lots of toasted wood and vinous fruit with sweet caramel malt. Weird.
Medium bodied with a slightly sweet malt presence and prominent barrel character. Sweet vinous dark fruit gives way to a tart, puckering funk mid-palate. Finishes with more dark fruit notes and peppery spice. Very strange with malt giving way to funk to vinous fruit to barrel to more sweetness.
