750 ml bottle @ EBF. Hazy/cloady orange body with a small but dense white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, gives me actually some association of chicken manure! Flavor is sweet malty, fruity, some yeast and alcohol. A bit unusually, but OK.

Rating #324, sample from Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010

This was a very good barley wine, and my first beer from Bøgedal Bryghus. I will certainly try other of their brews after having tried this one. The beer was a hazy dark amber specimen with a medium head. Aroma was marked by citrusy and floral hops, dried fruits, caramel and a bit alcohol. Flavor was marked by dark and sweet fruits as dates, figs, prunes, raisins, dried apricot and so on, with a great amount of malts and a nice sweet finish. Citrus and low bitterness in the finish / aftertaste. Very nice.
