Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium full to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Sweet aroma of caramel, fruits, liquorice and dried fruits.
Fruity flavour of caramel, dried fruits and liquorice with notes of spices and mould.
Dry spicy finish.

The color is almost black; medium sized head. The aroma is light, some roasted malt and cheese rind. Good body structure, with caramel and chocolate flavor, a bit ashy but also reasonably sweet, with more coffee in the end. Good.
Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and nuts, leading to a dry malty finish. Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 1, 2010
Bottle 75 cl. Pours a dark brown with a warm reddish hue and a creamy light brown head. Aroma is dark dried fruits, hard roasted malts and a whiff of fustiness. 75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare and a quickly gone tan head. Aroma is earthy and slight vegetable like. Dark roasted malt. Mouldy and vegetable yeasty flavoured. Caramelish, toffee and chocolate too. Sweet and bitter. Goes gradually more dry towards the finish.
