On tap @ Henrik. In the glass this is a deep dark brown one with a small quickly side sticking brown head. Some chocolate, cocoa and lots of hardened caramel on the nose. Traces of both cinnamon and cookie dough. In good Bøgedal tradition: really nice! The same goes for the taste. Rich dark caramel with a really present wood flavor. Mild oily on the mouthfeel, kinda mouthdrying in the mouth and the carbonation level is small and just below average. It has that typical sweetness often found in these Bøgedal beers. Bottle. Comes as No. 278. A hazy, opaque dark brown beer with a very small beige head. Roasted malty aroma. Notes of licorice, brown sugar. Flavor is sweet roasted malt with a malty bitter finish. Tap at Farmer’s Cabinet in Philly. In short, a more aggressive Jolly Pumpkin Madrugada Obscura. Pours near black with a larger, suddy, tan head. Huge lacing. Funky, roasty, sour stout nose. Taste is wildly tangy, super lactic, with massive carbonation. Roasty, tangy, sour stout all the way. Big citrus, lactic finish. Ultra sharp tangerine and grapefruit juice palate. Super lactic. Unreal.
