[ @ There Winter Ale Festival ].
ABV: 6.9%. Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy wood and alcohol - rum. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, wood, chocolate, roasted malt, rum, earthy - wood. To muck for me ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
Bottle from the Microbar, Manchester. Apparently this is the 3rd attempt at this beer after the other 2 didn’t work out too well. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Raisin, plum pudding and some chocolate aroma. Dark fruit, licorice and toffee flavour. Sweet fruit finish. Yep, they’ve done ok with this one. Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 17, 2011
Bottle at Craigs. Poured a dark brown colour with a thin white head. Parmesan cheese on the nose until Craig mentioned vomit. After this point all I could smell and taste was vomit, and a little chocolate dantheman278 (1361) - SCOTLAND - JUN 15, 2011
Bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk. Dark brown with a small bubbly crown. Nose is sweet rum, spice and er.. VOMIT. In a good way? Er, not really. Chocolate on the palate, more light rum notes, more VOMIT. VOMIT linger. Vomalicious. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - JUN 15, 2011
15 June 2011, bottle at my last cgarvieuk tasting! med brown and faintly hazy. actually really smells of vomit. i’m scared to taste this. med/thin body and only faintly fizzy. very sweet, powdery chocolate, very sweet and sugary, and vomit is still present. weird.
