Rockinout (966) - Kent, Ohio, USA - MAY 28, 2003
Translucent yellow, skunked nose. Watery, bland, somewhat dry. All of these certain Mexican beers are the same brew with a different label (seems like). OK with spicy Mexican food.

When in Mexico, forget the clear bottle "beers" and go for this one. Fuller than most Mex. beers, with a very satisfying bitterness and finish.

Mexico has some good beers and some bad beers. this is one of the two best Mexican beers out there. It is great on a dock in Ensenada with your feet hanging in the Pacific Ocean.

There are about a million of these cheap Mexican cervezas out there. Weak color and head, weak nose, dry and drinkable. Get whatever's cheapest.

Well... I have mixed feelings about this one. In the context of a Mexican restaurant, it seemed alright. Poured into a glass, however, the weak head, dirty-wheat-sugar aftertaste, and pale complexion placed it squarely in the commercial mass-market schwill category. Is there such a thing? At least, it's floating somewhere at the top of that category. You could certainly do worse (I know I have).

stoutosaurus (157) - Clinton, Mississippi, USA - MAY 3, 2003
Not bad for a dirty Mexican beer. I'd put it between Tecate and Negra Modelo. Pretty refreshing I suppose. It would be great for a hot summer's morn. Especially if I've been picking cotton up until that point.

I don't know why, but I like this beer when it comes to Mex beers. It has a crisp taste and a nice finish that goes really well with Chile Colorado. Clean profile with a slightly sweet note to it and finishes nicely with a hop bang...

WabashMan (1024) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - MAR 7, 2003
Typical light golden color and white head start this one. The aroma is actually a bit nicer than expected, thankfully. The flavor is a bit strange, in my opinion. Leaves an odd aftertaste, though not similar to the dreaded Corona aftertaste. This is an alright Mexican, though others are preferable (Pacifico and Negra Modelo, to be specific).

booyaatribe (453) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 23, 2003
Blah. Corny. More or less indistinguishable from other bad Mexican beers.

wheatbeerboy (103) - Addison, Illinois, USA - FEB 10, 2003
For some reason I don't seem to like any Mexican beer and this one is no exception.
