A good tasting Mexican beer. This is a full flavored german-style lager. It's a great tasting beer by itself. No lime required.

Mexican pilsner, light straw color, fine carbonation. Sweet taste, better than alot of European Pilsners. Not skunky.

Bland, kinda fizzy, not very pleasant.

Very similar to Negro Modelo. So far I have learned this about Mexican beers - if it comes in a normal shaped bottle - it is terrible, but if it comes in a stubby shapped bottle, like this one, than it isn’t half bad! In fact I quite enjoyed it.

Fast fading head. Faintly sweet nose and flavor. A bit grainy

It is unfortunate that I invariably sample this with Mexican food and the wiater invariably stuffs a lime in the bottle. This is a good beer. Nicely balanced, easy drinking.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2003 I got notes of sweet malts and bitter plums..More flavor than I've gotten from most mexican beers save Casta..Better than I expected

I thought I found something special at the mexican supermarket, but when I noticed the 4peso/per pricetag, I knew this one would be like all of the others. Actually, it had a bit more beer-like taste than the other 15 or so that I sampled down there.. Yes, it was a terrible week for beerhunting!

A weak effort. But better than most from South of the Border.

Ugh, another Bud, another few bucks down the drain. They’ll probably be followed by this beer. It has that neck-spasm inducing element.
