Rich mahogany, brief tan head. Deep almost treacly caramelliness in the aroma. Slightly sticky palate, OK carbonation. Slightly marmitey yeastiness. Taste a bit metallic from the bittering hops. Finish dry, drying, and a bit metallic. Harsh, and unsatisfying.

This is kind of tough to rate. My bottle is seemingly old and oxidized and yet it’s turned out good. It is a garnet brown colored beer w/ no head and just a little touch of lacing. The nose is just a touch roasty w/ some toasted nut-like flavors around the edges. This is what makes me think it’s a bit oxidised, this nutty flavor. It is very much stronger once you taste the beer and it’s sweetness takes over. However, it is completely pleasant rather than cardboardy and stale tasting. I am not sure I am drinking this beer as the brewer intended--I actually rather think I’m not--but it’s still pretty damn good. Bad shape. Oxidized dark malt, burnt caramel / cola syrup, burnt grain husks, evaporated milk powder, minerals / cement mix. Medium body, lightly sweet cola, astringent char. Dry finish. Decent dark lager, dark nut brown with small tight beige head. Sweet malt aroma, taste again is malt, molasses, some nuttiness. Smoky, burnt taste lingers on the palate.
