Draft. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, fully lasting. Body is hazy light yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (cracker, light bread), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with a light note of lemon zest. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Little to no German Weissbier yeast character, but if theyre still making this with Czech lager yeast, that explains that. And indeed, it is mostly a malty affair (and pretty nice malt at that), with a little yeast and lemony character. Simple and light, but better than usual from this very inconsistent brewery.

Tap. Pours light hazy straw, medium white head, nice lacing. Aroma is wheat, lacking traditional hef esters, citrus. Flavor is light sweet, no bitterness, twinge of tartness. Light body. Let it tart up a bit and call it a Berliner.

On tap @ Bohemian. Mostly clear golden pour with white foam. Somewhat crackery, but a lot of bread, some apple, and an oddly floral and grassy character. Slight grain husk bitterness to the finish. A little watery as well. Not my favorite.

Had on draft at the brewery. Very light straw color, slightly cloudy. Nightshift esters, soft doughy maltiness. This is a restrained beer.

Nice enough, though if Im grabbing a hefe, I thin Id prefer the more fruity and spicy hefe yeast. This was refreshing with hints of lemon and wheat. Easy drinking.

On tap at the brewpub pouring pale opaque gold with white head. The modest aroma offers up some grainy malts and echoes of citrus from the lemon wedge that they put in the beer. The taste has a nice yummy grainy maltiness laced with mild sweet fruity esters and a touch of malt or caramel or butterscotch or something sweet into the finish.

on tap 7/22/10... hefe? hazy very pale yellow color... it looks a lot like lemonade with a soft white head. it smells very similar to sprite soda???... lemony refreshing and calcium mixed with wheat, flowers and some grass. the flavor is a mix of wet wheat and a spicy dry finish along with the notes from the aroma. it is crisp, medium bodied and ridiculously quaffable. neat-o. 7/3/7/3/15/3.5

Hazy deep gold pour. Aroma of grain, yeast, spice and citrus. Flavor is lightly tart wheat, spice, banana and lemon peel. Nicely done.
