COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Bavarian-style hefeweizen. White wheat and Munich malts give this beer a rich, sweet body while staying light and easy to drink. But the star of the beer is the traditional yeast, originating from the Bavarian monastery of Andechs, adding banana, clove, and bubble gum characters.

Draft. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (cracker), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of banana, lemon zest, clove. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A straightforward, light rendition that nonetheless delivers the expected goods for the style, other than the expected lack of body and texture. A thankfully clean and perfectly solid entry. They should make a full strength version of this, methinks.

Tap. Pours quite hazy golden yellow, large white head, good lacing. Aroma is banana and clove, hint of bubblegum. Flavor is light sweet, minimal bitterness, fairly traditional. Light body. Pretty solid effort.

On tap @ Bohemian. Hazed straw color with a white head. Mild banana, some orange zest, and a bit of spice. Pretty doughy and sweet. Plenty of nice bready malts. Good flavor, though maybe not quite as estery as I normally prefer.

Had on draft at the brewery. The yeast notes are well balanced, clove and banana. The flavor is doughy wheat, some spicy clove phenols, slightly tart. Very tasty wheat beer.

Spicy, herbal hops and banana-ish yeast aroma. Spicy and banana flavors, with some light bready, sweet malt. Also a subtle lemon flavor.

Not bad for a hefe but seems to carbonated and lacking a desired creaminess an okay brew however. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mug at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a large white head. A sweet banana nose, some oak. Sweet, banana, pepper, rich fruit, dusty yeast. Very good.
