330 ml can shared by Travlr: Pours a clear pale golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with some grassy noble hops. Starts with a mild pale malty sweetness and decent bittering hop balance, but pretty uninteresting. Not offensive and has decent drinkability.

330mL can courtesy of Travlr. The pour is a clear straw with a diminishing white head. Nose is macro lager grainy, sugary candies, fresh apple juice. Taste is inoffensive: sweet, sugary, mild pineapple fruitiness, mild soap. Not too bad actually. Germantanker99’s rating of this might be an all time RB classic.

33cl can, thanks Travlr. Small white head atop clear straw body. Aroma is moderately sweet, bread, some bubblegum. Taste is medium sweet, bread, light vegetal. Light body, somewhat watery.

Pale and clear yellow, large white head that settles quickly. Aroma of soapy straw. Taste is bitt straw. Very light. Better in hot weather, I assume.

33cl can at Bushman’s Rock. 4.2 abv. It poured a golden yellow colour with an enormous white foamy head. Aroma is a bit malty with notes of grass and wet cardboard. Flavour is a tad bitter. Carbonated. Notes of grains, grass and wet cardboard again. Just another lager, but at least I can check off another beer from an uncommon country.

Smells sweet with a hint of hops. Looks like an average beer, but the head is nice and foamy. Tastes sweet and fruity, a bit of hops, but not overpowering. The finish is not too sweet. It’s a pretty good sweet lager, not great, but all right.

Had a few of these while I was in Zimbabwe. Pours a clear straw color. Minimal head and the same with the nose. Flavor was bland to say the least. Perhaps my opinion is lower because I had some Zambezis at the same time, which carry a bit more flavor. Either way, I wasn’t overly impressed as you can tell from the ratings and have to say it was my least favorite beer out of my recent Africa trip.

Bottled. Pale yellow, small creamy head. Some spicy hops up front. Light-medium bodied with clean mouthfeel and low bitterness. Flawless, but very typical tropical lager.
