Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Z pierwszej warki. Bursztynowa barwa, mocarne masło i kwaśna paloność. Blyhhh.

Bottle from the Alkohole 24 near the hote. Very dark brown body, black almost, no head noted. Aroma... huge caramel and wormwood, light alcohol. Toasty, caramelly alcohol taste, some herbal notes. Nice body, but way too sweet. Not a good beer as such but terrible for a Black IPA in my opinion.

Bottle split at Islo tasting, thanks to Wingmane, 04/10/16. Light black with a well presented tan cap. Nose is perfume, dark fruit esters, grass, light hop trace. Taste comprises light charr, spice, cocoa rub, baking powder. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi dyring close with a sweetish finale. Low end of the style.

October 2016 - Bottle share at CBC Islington. As Bojan Czarny Black IPA. Many thanks to Dave! Black, almost opaque with a slight red hue, foamy brown head. Aroma is parmesan, dirty trainers, some touches of chocolate syrup. Lorna says Foxes Gold Bars which is a good shout, but mostly trainers and cheese for me Im afraid. Almost nauseating. Body is light, foamy with soft carbonation. Taste is sugary, lightly woody, musty and cheesy, chocolate. Not good at all in my book. (2.3)

Craft Islington Gathering. Thanks to WingMan. Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark chocolate and sweet coffee. Little fruity bitterness. Light semi dry finish. Odd.

Bottle from the Polish Delicatessen, opposite The Barum Top Inn, Halifax. Black with a very thin off-white head. Has a dark malt sweetness in its taste, although not a very stated one, with a soapiness in its nose in this respect. It doesnt feel its strength.

Scopey (13745) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2016
Bottle at the JK tasting. Bottle thanks to the wingman. It pours darkest brown/near black with a medium light tan head. The aroma is quiet sweet, sticky, chewy malt, chocolate powder and cheap candy. The taste is bitter - sweet, earthy roasted malts, sticky sweetness, coffee grounds and cheap Euro chocolate. Finish is short and sweet. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A pretty poor example of the style.

Bottle shared at the CBC Islington for the jk tasting. Many thanks to the Wingman for this one. A clear reddy mahogany brown coloured pour with a small halo of tan head. Aroma is sweet, toffee, brown sugars, vanilla, big diacetyl popcorn. Sweet honey. Flavour is composed of woody sweet toffee, diacetyl, butterscotch. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation, woody. Not great.

Leighton (20130) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 6, 2016
Bottle shared at the JK Tasting - Craft Beer Co., Islington. Many thanks to WingyDave. Pours deep brown with a frothy, tan head. Doughy brown bread in the nose, some subtle dark fruits, creamy caramel. Medium sweet flavour with further sugary bread, toffee, touches of milk chocolate. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet on the finish, lightly sticky, with more toffee and dried, dark fruits. Fine enough.
