750ml bottle. Bottled 2015. Vanilla, oak, notes of moscatel, slight acidity, notes of toffee, earthiness in the aroma. Earthy notes, notes of vanilla, acidity, notes of sherry, madeira or moscatel. Funky finish. Earthiness. Bitter notes. Has a little more body than usual gueuze, but the balance is beautiful.

Habanero (4848) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2017
Bottled. Pours hazy deep golden with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, barnyard, funk, wood and madeira. Slightly sweet flavor that ends up being dry and tart. Medium bodied, watery to oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent Sour.

AndySnow (8111) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - JUL 25, 2017
How: Bottle.
Where: Akkurat, Stockholm.
Appearance: Clear light amber colour with a minimal head.
Aroma: Some funk, a bit sour, fruit, vinous.
Body: Medium body, flat carbonation.
Flavour: Some funk, balanced, sweet, vinous, fruit.
Comment: A bit too balanced. Nothing that sticks out, just a smooth slightly sour taste. Might be a good beer for introduction to the style since it isn’t that extreme.

anstei (2608) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - JUL 18, 2017
Bottle at Akkurat, vintage 2015. Pours clear amber. Aroma is funky, damp, sweetish barrel, apples. Body is medium, rather sweet for a gueuze and with a low acidity too. Fizzy carbonation. Really unusually sweet, almost an introductory gueuze. Very balanced, to the point where it loses its edge, becoming almost non-gueuze. I like.

3.9
