COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A legend of the ‘buckriders’ dates from the 18th century were people surrendered themselfs to the devil and road on the back of flying goats one time per year to meet Satan. In fact they were just plain thieves and poachers. During this period the groups of thieves, who called themselfs the buckriders (‘Bokkerijders’ in flemish), and poachers frighten the inhabitants of the region. They all became outlaws and most of them were hung. They were the most frighten people in the region of the Earlship of van Loon (region of, today, brouwerij Cornelissen). Bokkereyer beer is being brewed according a very delicate recipe. The base of lightly burned malt gives the beer his magnificent amber colour. The beer gives a pleasant hoppy aroma with a soft bitter aftertaste and a soft flavor of caramel. This is really a beer of the discerning beer lover! Butelka 0,25l pita w domu zakupiona w Leclerc. Kolor ciemnobursztynowy, piana średnia zostawia jednak ślad na szkle. W aromacie oprócz karmelu nic więcej. W smaku słody i trochę chmielu, słodkie z wytrawnym finiszem, przypomina kwas chlebowy, nic szczególnego.

Bottled. Copper colour with a mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is banana, some mild spices, toffee and a bit nutty notes. Flavour is wooden, some slight earthy notes along with herbs and mild sweet malts to it. For a Belgian beer this one has quite much bitterness in the finish.

blackisle (2756) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - NOV 9, 2015
Bottle 25cl. Clear deep amber color, average foamy off-white head, good retention and lacing; aroma of roasted malts, caramel, brown sugar, dark dried fruits, nutty notes; taste is medium sweet and bitter, malty, bready; medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste is light bittersweet, herbal notes; pleasant amber ale. This beer was introduced in 1984 by brewery Sint Jozef. In 2015 the name of the brewery was changed into brewery Cornelissen; only a change of name because already for six generations the Cornelissen family is running the brewery. Originally this Bokkereyer was a bottom-fermented beer but recently (2014?) it became a top-fermented ale.
