10/25/12. 128oz growler from the brewery - my first from a year of free growlers! Hazy orange pour with a nice khaki head that sticks and laces plenty. I was told this just went on tap today, so it’s fresh, and I can tell in the aroma. There’s a really nice fresh hop aspect and a definite spice kick. The flavor is lightly bitter and hoppy, slightly fruit, with pine and citrus, and another definite rye spice kick. This is tasty and goes down too easy. I dig it! On tap at the brewery. Burnished golden color with a thin lasting off white head. Sharp citrus hop nose with some raw grains tones. Lots of hop flavors with red grapefruit, apricot and apple sauce. There is a strong grain feel with course bread and tea. Full flavored beer that was good with the burger. burg326 (5488) - Florida, USA - DEC 25, 2012
On draft at the brewery, pours a light orangish copper color with aromas of rye, citrus, pine, and light caramel. Flavors follow suit, a light spice in the aftertaste from the rye. Decent beer overall that I would drink again.

Just a solid all around beer. Good taste, but you can easily session with the rhino because it is so drinkable

Rated from notes taken 1 Oct 2011 -- A very nice beer, slightly astringent. If this were a little smoother it was kick the rating up quite a bit. yayforbeer (753) - Orange Park, Florida, USA - DEC 17, 2011
Pint on tap at the brewery taproom. Orange-amber beer with a white head. light malt and hop aroma. Flavor is dry pale ale with rye sharpness. Citric hop bitternes. I’m not really a fan of these rye beers and I don’t understand the current rye beer fad. This one is ok, maybe even good, but not great and not as good as the Magnum P. Rye. jbruner (4796) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JAN 20, 2013
Pours a slightly hazy golden orange on tap with white head and moderate lacing. Aroma of earthy, piney, and citrus hops, with a slight rye note, and lots of pale malt. Taste is mostly the malt with a hint of rye and a slight bitter hop on the back end. Not very exciting, but very easy to drink, which seems to be the theme with Bold City beers. alogan97 (71) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - AUG 2, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 3, 2012 Smells of orange and lemon zest. Clear brown appearance. earthyCitrus notes hit immediately upon tasting. Light on the palate, yet full flavored. Good beer, easily one of Bold Citys better beers
