On tap @ Bold City. Light copper color. Aroma is better in this one. Aroma of resin and pine. Flavor of resiny weed. Nice medium flavor of malt. Light toffee. Finishes with a pleasant hop bitterness. Pretty good. 25 July 09 GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 18, 2009
Pint on tap at the brewery. Pours a nice, slightly cloudy amber with a one finger white head that leaves very good lacing. Aroma is rye and caramel malt. Taste is sweet and refreshing with toffee, caramel, and rye notes. Some bready malt too. Good creamy body. An excellent session beer. PorterPounder (8283) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 21, 2009
Jacksonville, Fl. - on tap at the brewery tap room. My pick out of the 10 beer sampler for a full pint. Pours a medium copper with a soft white head that leaves good lacing. Good caramel and chocolate in the aroma. Flavor has a nice earthy quality to it with some noticeable chocolate, toffee and a hint of citrusy hoppiness. Mouthfeel is rich and thick. Best of the sampler - glasses were too small to be able to provide a adequate sample in my opinion. Immy (1958) - Virginia Beach, USA - MAY 3, 2009
On tap at the brewery. Lightly hazed copper with a tan head. Nutty caramel nose. Nice caramel flavors, nutty and mild, some light earth and chocolate. Tasty. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAR 25, 2009

Amberish-brown. Fresh chocolate malt aroma. Fresh chocolatey, earthy malt character with woody, tobaccoey nuances. Burly, maybe a bit husky, but a good beer for dark malt fans. Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 9, 2009
Draught at brewery taproom. Deep mahogany copper color. Sweet caramel aroma. Tastes much richer and hoppier than it smells. Nice toasted malt character. Fairly thick but not chewy palate. Nice higher gravity wintery session ale. GodOfThunder (1271) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 5, 2009
On draft at Bold City. Aroma and flavor are both loaded with toffee, caramel, brown sugar or whatever you take this sweetness as. Lots of sweetness, but doesn’t come off as cloying. Pretty balanced in the finish with sticky malts. PhillyBeer2112 (2894) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - NOV 26, 2008
Draft at brewery. Bronze color with a smallish head. Butterscotch and caramel aroma and flavor. Balanced earthy finish with a lingering caramel flavor.

Large glass (20+ oz) on tap at the brewery tap room. Dark amber beer with a beige head. Nice malty and hoppy aroma. Excellent flavor with plenty of malts and hops. Very drinkable and tasty, and an extra point for 7% abv. My favorite of the current lineup, but it’s a fall seasonal so it won’t be around for long. Certainly not at the rate it was going out the door in growlers last weekend! Excellent.
